Amber Alert goes Facebook

by PaulMedia [PM] Administrator (comments: 0)

The Amber Alert system of the Luxembourg government, which was initially introduced in 2016, has been extended to Facebook, too, different sources and amberalert.lu report. The goal of Amber Alert is to warn the population in case of kidnapping.

And now this system has been extended by a Facebook version, meaning that the all users of that specific social network who are in Luxembourg at the point of such an event will have a message being displayed in their news feed showing detailed information on what’s going on.

Users don’t have to subscribe and according to the sources, Facebook will locate users’ position by the IP address assigned to their device.

Normally Facebook posts do not reach everyone, nor in a country or region, neither all people from your friend list or your page feed subscribers. If you want to know how to rise the reach of your posts, then check our social media services and get in touch with us!
